Lee Humphrey — ready-to-wear from a Paris atelier. Raw wool, waxed cotton, blackened brass. Twenty-four looks, out now.
CARE: DRY CLEAN ONLYI'm Lee Humphrey, a ready-to-wear designer working out of a small atelier. My collections start with a fabric or a fixation — a fastening system, a way cloth folds under its own weight — and get built outward from there.
Before going independent I trained under a tailoring house and worked pattern rooms across two cities. I still cut my own first samples. These days I show twice a year and take a small number of private commissions in between.
A garment should hold its shape without you having to think about it — and fall apart exactly when you want it to.
